Chapter 14: Weight and Balance

Weight and balance control is essential for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. Improper loading of the aircraft may place the center-of-gravity out of limits and effect the ability to control the aircraft. An incorrect weight of the airplane renders the takeoff speed, flap setting and takeoff data invalid effecting takeoff performance, and the ability to rotate the aircraft, at the rotate speed.

This chapter covers all aspects of weighing, weight effect and shifting center of gravity.
